NEW BEGINNINGS; THE GENESIS PROJEX… “An Intergenerational Mission.” is a mission-driven organization dedicated to revitalizing the lives of individuals who are often overlooked—those who are homebound, bedbound, or in skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. With over 25 years of volunteer service in healthcare environments, we’ve seen firsthand how loneliness and lack of human connection can affect the spirit. That’s why our mission is personal. We show up where others can’t, bringing joy, empathy, and life to the bedside.
Our unique approach employs the therapeutic power of intergenerational interaction, music therapy, and the unconditional love of pets. We also uplift and employ individuals who themselves come from difficult backgrounds—fostering mutual healing. We’re not just a service; we’re a living connection between generations, bringing meaning to both the giver and receiver in each interaction.

Our Services
New Beginnings provides personalized, heart-centered support for patients, caregivers, and staff through social engagement and emotional companionship. Our services extend beyond traditional care by creating space for connection, healing, and joy—especially for those who are immobile or in the final phases of life.
- Bedside Companionship – One-on-one visits bringing conversation, smiles, and spiritual support to those unable to leave their rooms.
- Children Engagement Visits – Carefully guided interactions between children and residents to promote joy and emotional bonding.
- Canine Comfort Therapy – Visits from well-trained, loving dogs to offer tactile and emotional comfort.
- Musicology Sessions – Live or recorded music sessions tailored to the individual’s preferences to stimulate memory and enhance mood.
- Chaplaincy Substitution – When no chaplain is available, we offer spiritual presence, prayer, and comforting support.
- Caregiver Relief – A healthy, loving diversion to support primary caregivers, offering them a much-needed moment of rest.
- Staff Upliftment – Our team energizes and encourages care facility staff, helping to lift morale and support retention.
- Pet Rescue Integration – Our animal companions are often adopted from the local Humane Society, giving them a new beginning too.
